Given our desire to control and manage the vineyards that we source fruit from it was necessary that we assemble a team that could handle the daily demands and requirements. With the assistance of my brother Ricardo we launched Herrera Vineyard Management in the spring of 2005.
While the opportunity to work with my brother proved irresistible, from a professional standpoint it allowed me to add to our team someone that possessed a wealth of knowledge and experience in both vineyard management and winemaking. After all it’s not every day that you are able to find someone that has served as an assistant winemaker at both Screaming Eagle and Dominus!
Although still in its infancy, Herrera Vineyard Management will play an integral role in the long-term success and growth of our company. As opportunities continue to present themselves we are now in a position whereby we can become involved at the earliest stages. Greater familiarity with each vineyard will allow us to maximize the potential that each has to offer.
